General terms and conditions Medieval Winschoten

The site

  1. Visitors may only enter the grounds during pre-announced opening hours.
    Middeleeuws Winschoten is not liable for any damages or costs resulting from acts or omissions of other visitors, participants or the event site manager.
  2. Entering the grounds and attending the event is at your own risk.
    Medieval Winschoten assumes no liability for damages resulting from entering or attending such as, but not limited to, hearing, vision and other physical problems.
  3. Certain areas on the grounds may be temporarily closed to the public.
    These closures should always be respected and followed.
  4. Middeleeuws Winschoten is in no way liable for damage to or loss of personal property.
    Also, Middeleeuws Winschoten is not liable for personal accidents that occur on the event grounds.
  5. It is not allowed to bring chairs, benches and/or tables to the festival site.
    It is also not allowed to bring your own food and/or beverages.
  6. Damage to the event and grounds is not permitted.
    This includes no picking of plants, no going outside the paved paths and grassy areas, no damaging any attributes in the park, and no leaving trash outside the trash cans.

Tickets and admission

  1. Access to the event site is allowed only with a valid ticket or with explicit permission from the organization.
  2. Tickets are valid only for the day indicated on the ticket, with the exception of multi-day tickets.
    These multi-day tickets must be exchanged at the entrance for a wristband, which, if worn, grants access to the event.
  3. Tickets cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be returned in any way.
    The organization is not responsible for loss, theft or failure to carry the ticket.
  4. Visitors under the age of 16 may only visit the event and grounds when accompanied by an adult (18+).
    If in doubt, identification may be requested.
  5. Wristbands will be put on immediately upon redemption by the ticket provider.
    It is not allowed to pass the wristband on to others after that.

Tickets, if available, can be found at medieval-winschoten.nl/tickets According to the organization’s definition, a child is a person between the ages of 4 and 12.

Programming and lineup

  1. All program elements and/or participants mentioned are subject to change.
    Middeleeuws Winschoten is not liable for any deviations and the damage that may occur to visitors as a result.
  2. The organization will make every effort to carry out the program as much as possible according to the announced schedule.
    Nevertheless, the organization is not liable for deviations and the damage that may arise as a result for visitors and/or third parties.

Media, sound recordings, video recordings and photography

  1. Middeleeuws Winschoten reserves the right to make image and/or sound recordings, commissioned or otherwise.
    By entering the event grounds, visitors consent to the use of their image in promotional communications.
    Persons appearing on the recordings cannot claim any compensation.
  2. Bringing amateur photo and/or video equipment for personal use is permitted, provided the user holds a current photo pass.
    For photo pass rules and privacy policies, please consult the event website.
  3. Image and sound recordings made during the events of Medieval Winschoten are permitted for non-commercial purposes only.
    Commercial use or sale of such material requires prior consultation and written permission.

Sale

  1. It is not permitted to sell products on and around the grounds of Medieval Winschoten without permission from the organization.
    This also applies to private sales and the sale of food and beverages.

Sale

  1. Medieval Winschoten is not responsible for products sold by participants.
  2. The organization aims for exhibitors, visitors and entertainers to use animal skins and furs that do not come from animals raised specifically for this purpose as much as possible.
  3. The organization requires all exhibitors to use only products of the highest quality and to ensure absolute top quality hygiene.
    However, the organization is not responsible for products and their quality sold by exhibitors.
  1. Within the designated event area, the rules according to the Weapons and Ammunition Act (WWM) apply.

  2. The firearms regulations may be subject to change due to changes in permits or waivers.
    This may mean that rules may change just before or during the event.
    Consult the firearms regulations page for the most recent updates.
  3. The final assessment of the firearms regulations always lies with the organization at the event site.
    Assessments obtained in advance from the organization serve only as an indication.
  4. The organization reserves the right to refuse weapons regardless of the weapons regulations.
    For serious violations of the Weapons and Ammunition Act, the organization will involve the police for further assessment.
  5. White weapons may be used only by or under the supervision of organization-approved participants in designated areas on the event grounds.

Transportation and parking

  1. Parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the event.
    Parking fees will be communicated in advance and apply to all motor vehicles.
    Visitors are required to purchase a parking pass to use the parking lot.
    Refund of the parking pass is not possible.Medieval Winschoten is not responsible for damage to persons, vehicles or materials in the parking lot. Public transportation: Currently we do not offer shuttle buses or cabs.
    These are entirely at your own risk in all cases.

Conduct and common decency

  1. Visitors may dress and behave as they wish, provided this is in accordance with good morals and respect for other visitors.
    In case of doubt, the organization of Medieval Winschoten, or a person authorized to do so, has the final judgment.
  2. Attributes, accessories or costumes with a political character (both extreme left and extreme right), a discriminatory character, or that violate the Dutch Constitution are not allowed.
    This includes images showing the Nazi swastika (swastika) and the Nazi SS sign, which are prohibited by the Supreme Court of the Netherlands.
  3. In addition, we do not tolerate (verbal) violence.
    In case of disputes, you should contact an employee of Medieval Winschoten.
    It is strictly forbidden to take the law into your own hands.
